A Big Week!

This is a really special week for my family.  This week my baby sister turns 18 and graduates from high school and my brother graduates from management school.  I am really looking forward to being back home and supporting my siblings on their special days.

Tonight, ABC aired the show Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition.  I wasn’t sure what to expect but based on the previews, here is what I expected to see… 1.  One contestant per episode 2.  Each contestant has a couple hundred pounds to lose 3.  Each contestant will be under the supervision of trainer, Chris Powell…

The Instructorless Class

Tonight is my first weigh-in after starting the Simply Filling plan!  I am really excited and hope to see a loss on the scale.  This week has gone well for me, though I can see some of the changes I’ll need to make over time. Prepare for “that time of the month” and the cravings…

Feeling Great!

I fought the urge to snooze this morning and hopped out of bed at 5:30AM.  I headed strait for the kitchen and had a bowl of honey bunches of oats instead of my planned bowl of oatmeal.  By 6AM I was out the door and off to ride the metro to the gym. Throughout my…

Opposite Day!

Now that the Bachelorette is on, I can officially say that it is summer!  I love the Bachelorette, even more than I love the Bachelor.  I just love seeing the crazy dates they go on and the lengths these guys will go to to win this woman’s heart.  Though it may be a little more…

Weekly Plan: May 16 – May 22

I really want to use this week to restructure a few things.  My weight loss has halted these past few weeks and I am hoping to make some changes to my food intake, workout routine, and my weight watcher meeting date in hopes of seeing some growth and weight loss.

Buffalo Chicken Pasta

Today for lunner, I made Buffalo Chicken Pasta from How Sweet Eats.  It was a really easy recipe to follow and my BF loved it!  The BF and I first went on a trip to Costco to get some goodies for the week.  I got strawberries, raspberries, grapes, lettuce, olive oil, and some grilled chicken….

Planning a Vacation

Planning a vacation is a lot of fun, but for whatever reason, it made me so anxious today.  With so many options and the goal to save money for the future, finding a place to celebrate my BF’s and my anniversary became a challenge. Some of our ideas included: 1. Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA…

Daydreaming…

Oh what it would be like to live in a Pottery Barn home with a Williams- Sonoma kitchen.  If I could go on a shopping spree, here are some of the things I would buy.

Grocery List -Fruit (grapes, bananas) -Veggies (mushrooms) -Special K blueberry cereal and soy milk -ground turkey -I have a lot of food at home that I need to eat

What a bad week!

Well, I gained 2.2lbs this week!  What a bad week… and weird week at that.  The WW leader asked me if I expected the weight gain and I said “no” but now that I look back, I’m not surprised to have gained weight.

Finding Motivation

When my alarm went off this morning at 5:30AM I thought to myself “why oh why is my alarm going off”?  For a brief second I thought “I’m just going to go back to bed, I don’t need to work out”.  Instead, I fought the urge to sleep and hopped out of bed.  I headed…
