Weight Loss Superstitions

Last night after work I headed home, changed into my Weight Watchers gear, grabbed a piece of cheese for a post weigh-in snack, and headed over to Weight Watchers to weigh-in.  And yes, I had a post weigh-in snack… I was HUNGRY!

As I waited in line to weigh-in, I secretly prayed that the third scale would open up (my scale) but the first one opened up.  The leaders said “step on up” but I quietly said “oh, I’m going to wait for the third scale”.  The leader chuckled and said “they all measure the same, I promise, but lets put it to the test”.  I stepped on scale one and the leader wrote down my weight on a sheet of paper.  I then headed over to scale three and guess what… they were exactly the same! Isn’t it funny how superstitious we get?  Either way, I lost 1 pound!!! YAY!

Weight Watchers Update — Week 7 Results

Starting Weight: 229.4 pounds

Week 6 Results: lost 1 pound (weighed 226.6)

Total Weight Loss: -2.8 pounds

After weighing in, I snacked on my 2PP piece of cheese and headed over to Momo in Alexandria, VA for dinner with Neal, Matt, and Liz.

We LOVE Momo and needed a sushi date like whoa!  As it was Matt’s birthday, we knew that a sushi date was in order.

Momo has the BEST sushi.  My favorite roll last night was the “salmon special roll”.  I don’t know exactly what was in it, but it was awesome!

After dinner, we skipped on desert and headed over to Cold Stone for a little birthday dessert.   Happy birthday Matt!  I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Today’s Meal Plan

Today’s Workout Plan (#20daychallenge)

30 minutes on elliptical, 10 minutes on stairmaster, and a little weight lifting

(UPDATE:  My workout was AWESOME!! I brought my iPad and watched an episode of Weeds while I was on the elliptical.  Man did those 30 minutes fly by!  I didn’t have time to do the stairmaster or some weight lifting, but I can make that up tomorrow.)

Sushi is one of my favorite treats when going out to eat. So delicious. :D

And your workout plan sounds great! The one thing I miss about having my gym membership is the stairmaster. I feel like I got such a good sweat session off of that. :D
