Yesterday was day 2 of the Whole Living Action Plan and man oh man was it tasty! If you’ve looked at Whole Living’s website, I’m not following their meal plan but I am trying my hardest to stick to their weekly diet restrictions/plan/whatever you call it. Yesterday for breakfast I had another awesome smoothie… Let’s call this one the
Tropical Pea Soup Smoothie Tropical Superfood Smoothie.
Tropical Superfood Smoothie
1 scoop of Amazing Grass Superfood
My blender attempted to die on me after filling it with all of the ingredients, but thankfully I was able to fix it without having to remove everything from the blender— Thank the Lord!
The smoothie looked gross, but it tasted fantastic!! I love how creamy mangoes make a smoothie.
The work day was great and I received one of my spring 2012 textbooks in the mail today… Research Methods, Eeek!
I just have to remember, “I am graduating from grad school in FOUR months!!”
Day 2 Food Log
Breakfast: Tropical Superfood Smoothie @ 7AM
Snack: nuts @ 10:30AM
Lunch: Tomato and Roasted Red Pepper Soup from Trader Joes with a HUGE side of snapped peas. I sauteed the peas last night in a little spicy Korean sauce and then reheated for lunch, YUMMY! @ 12:30PM
Snack: pineapple @ 4:00PM
Dinner: Roasted acorn squash!! I ate the whole thing, which a little ketchup. For the squash I cut it in half, scooped out the seeds, and then threw them in the oven at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. It was perfect! @ 7:30PM
Snack: Aunt Flo is around currently, so I was craving something “sweet” like whoa. After dinner I made a “chocolate banana smoothie” which was made up of ice, 1 banana, almond milk, and chocolate protein powder. It totally hit the spot. @ 8:30PM
Sadly I didn’t make it to the gym during work yesterday to lift weights. I had a hard time getting away from my desk, yes, but I was also having MAJOR eye problems yesterday. My eyes started burning, watering, and turning red… no fun at all! I’m still having a lot of trouble with them today, but this has happened before.
It’s back to glasses for me today… hopefully my eyes will start to settle down soon!
On to day 3 we go! Today I’m in an all day retreat, so lunch may be interesting, but I’m just going to stick to fruits and veggies if I can. After work I’m taking a yoga class at Cycle Studio!! Can’t wait.
