What a WEIRD Friday. Weird would be an understatement to be honest. It all started off when I hit a cyclist. You read that right, I HIT SOMEONE ON THEIR BIKE. Ok, that seems uber dramatic, so let me explain.
I was was sitting at a red light, waiting to turn right out of the right hand lane. As I was watching oncoming traffic to my left, I did not see the biker coming down the sidewalk on my right. After the last car drove by, I put my foot on the gas and started to look right. As soon as I turned my head the biker was right there. I slammed on my breaks and thankfully did not hit hit the cyclist, but we definitely made contact with each other. He proceeded to cuss me out, which was called for I guess, so I put my window down, apologized that I had been looking left and then asked him if he was ok. Thankfully he was!
Two seconds later my phone rang and it was my Mom (mother’s intuition??). She couldn’t have called at a better time. I answered the phone and started balling. I was just so freaked out, scared, and concerned about the cyclist. It was NOT how I wanted to start my Friday.
On top of that I had a lot of technology problems yesterday… my cell phone died, like literally, so I’ll be shopping for a new phone this weekend. My work computer, which is brand new btw, is also sick, so I was sans computer yesterday. Amen for my iPad!
Day 5 Food Log
Yesterday’s smoothie was weird… Cranberries, Strawberries, Pineapple, and Spinach… yet it came out as a tan colored smoothie. Kinda weird.
Lunch: Creamy Corn & Roasted Pepper Soup (Trader Joes) and Pineapple @ 12:00PM
Snack: 1/2 cup of nuts and a cup of coffee (I think I’m resolved to having a cup a day IF necessary) @ 4:00PM
Dinner: Trader Joe’s Grilled Eggplant and Zucchini Melange with some added carrots @ 7:30PM
Snack: Pineapple and left over smoothie from Tuesday @ 9:30PM
Last night Neal and I hung out at his house and watched the Cotton Bowl. It has been really fun watching Kansas State this year. I think I’m good luck as my schools always do great my senior year of school. My senior year at George Mason University the Men’s Basketball Team went to the Final Four and this year Kansas State went 10-2 and to the Cotton Bowl. I know I’m crazy, but it’s just fun seeing your school do well!!
This morning I’m taking 2 spin classes, oh yeah!! At 6:45AM I am taking a “Tri-Ride” class and then at 10:30AM I’m taking a Cycling 101 class with my friends. In between I’ll be heading over to Weight Watcher to weigh-in. I’ve decided to switch to Saturday morning weigh-ins instead of Tuesday night. The rest of the day will be spent working on my graduate work and planning out my meals and grocery list for week 2 of Whole Living’s Action Plan Detox.
Sunday Neal and I are doing all things wedding!! We are going to church, going cake tasting, picking up Neal’s wedding ring, shopping for a new phone, and then going to Bed Bath and Beyond to finish up our registry! I can’t wait! Sunday night we’ll go grocery shopping and prep for the week ahead. Also look out for a Week 1 Detox Recap on Sunday!
I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend!
