Saturday was a FANTASTIC day!! After my Friday, I couldn’t have asked for a better day. Saturday morning I woke up at 6AM and went to Cycle Studio’s 6:45AM Tri-Ride class. Essentially it is like you are on a true ride, so there are no breaks and lots of speed. I really enjoyed the class and could tell that everyone around me was an athlete. One observation I had: everyone was sweating profusely!! I mean, I sweat, but I do not soak a shirt. The men and women around me were literally dripped sweat on the floor 30 minutes into the hour long class. It was interesting… In the end I had burned 1601 calories in 1 hour and 20 minutes (warm up, 60 minute class, and cool down).
After class, I ran over to Buzz Bakery for an iced coffee and then headed over to Weight Watchers. After talking to a co-worker, I decided to switch to Saturday mornings for a more accurate reading of my weekly weight. Since weighing in Tuesday night, I have lost 2.4 pounds!!! YAY! After gaining 5.4 pounds over the holidays, I was so happy to have lost this week. I swear to y’all that I’m feeling great on this detox, as it honestly doesn’t feel like a detox. I’ve had to get creative with what I’m eating because my food options are limited, but it has been fantastic.
I then headed over to Trader Joe’s for week 2 grocery shopping and found awesome awesome stuff!! I’ll be sharing my grocery list with y’all tomorrow along with a week 1 recap, so stay tuned!
My morning wrapped up with a second spin class at Cycle Studio. Neal and I took a Cycle-101 class together but sadly our friends didn’t come. Neal and I still had a good time and it made me so happy that he wanted to try out a sport that I love. The class was rather basic, so I ended up increasing the tension a lot and coming out of the saddle more than recommended. In the end I had burned 2055 calories in 1 hour and 20 minutes (warm-up, 45 minute class, stretching, and cool down).
I had a fantastic morning and was excited to have lunch at home after all those workouts! The rest of the day was spent resting, working on graduate work, napping, and blogging.
