Lets just say that I took a little bit of a detox timeout Sunday and it all started with this little number at Founding Farmers.

OMG y’all, I just love beef and although it is not apart of my detox, it was really nice being able to have beef.  While I enjoyed my burger topped with veggies and avocado, Neal dove into his mac and cheese topped with the bacon (from my burger).

After brunch we ran some wedding errands and then drove out to Warrenton, VA for a little MLK weekend getaway!

Neal and I purchased a Livingsocial voucher last spring for the Poplar Springs Inn and Spa, knowing that we’d probably need a getaway during the winter of 2011-2012.

The moment you drive onto the grounds you know you are in for a treat.  The Inn is full of charm and class, inviting you in to relax and to relish in the elegance surrounding you.

Our room was just adorable, decorated in a French country style.

After settling in, Neal took a nap and I watched football.  It was great seeing the Ravens and the Giants win and I can not wait to watch the Giants vs. 49ers game next Sunday!

For dinner, Neal and I drove into Warrenton for dinner at the Iron Bridge Wine Company.

Neal and I had a lovely dinner, ordering the mushroom pizza, blue cheese mussels, and smoked Gouda fondue with grapes and soft pretzels to share.   I also enjoyed a lovely glass of chardonnay, enjoying every sip!

After dinner we headed back to the Inn and watched the rest of the Golden Globes and then knocked out.  We needed the getaway more than we knew…
