After a wonderful nights stay at the Poplar Spring Inn (read about Day 1 here), Neal and I were awoken by our complementary breakfast yesterday morning.  Breakfast being delivered to our room was so cute and very romantic.

I must admit, it was nice being able to roll out of bed, open the door, and have a fresh and healthy breakfast delivered to your bed.

Various pastries, fresh fruit, toast with jam, yogurt and granola, OJ, and coffee were on our tray and all tasted fantastic!

The pastries, toast and OJ were for Neal and the yogurt, granola and coffee were for me.  The granola was fantastic and the perfect way to start the day… a nibble of the chocolate banana bread and scone didn’t hurt either.

After a walk around the Inn’s property, Neal and I headed over to the spa for a few relaxing treatments.  First up for me… half leg wax.

As I’ve bitched complained about before, I hate shaving my legs.  After a month of not shaving, I decided to go all the way and grow my leg hair out for waxing.  I had never had my legs waxed before and honestly, it was fine.  It only hurt around the ankles and man are my legs smooth!  I don’t think I’ll treat myself to this too often, but maybe when I am pregnant and can’t shave.  Let’s see how long it takes to grow out.

After a 50 minute reflexology massage, I took full advantage of the women’s locker room using the steam room, shower, and lotions.  I left the spa feeling amazing!  Neal enjoyed an 80 minute massage and enjoyed every minute of it!  I was honestly a little jealous of his massage, but I can’t complain about what I had done.

For lunch… Warrenton Great Harvest Bread Company!  Neal and I tasted a few breads and then split a roast beef and blue cheese sandwich.

The sandwich was divine!  I don’t think there’s anything better than roast beef, blue cheese and red onions.  After lunch Neal and I went to a few of the shops on main street and then stopped by the Red Truck Bakery for an iced coffee.

Neal and I had a fantastic time in Warrenton and would recommend the Inn and Spa to anyone.  We can’t wait to go back!

Once home, it was off to the grocery store to get food for week 3 of the Whole Living Detox.  I know I took essentially 2 days off from the detox, but I really enjoyed my time with Neal and look forward to continuing the detox moving forward.  This week I am able to add eggs and gluten free grains into my diet.  I’m excited on one hand and nervous on the other… portion control is going to be key to my weight loss from here on out.

Now it’s back to the real world.  Today marks the start of my final semester of graduate school and a very busy spring semester.   The next few months are going to be so incredibly busy, but it is amazing to think that in less than 6 months Neal and I will be married and I will have my masters degree!!  Well, here we go…
