What a busy, busy week it has been. This was a big week for Neal though, as he finished his THIRD book! Last night we headed over to Guapos to celebrate his accomplishments and the success we see in this book.
Guapos is our favorite Mexican restaurant here in the DC area, so when Neal said he wanted to go out to celebrate, I knew Guapos was the place to be. The service there is amazing, the food is awesome, and we always have a wonderful time!
As a treat, I decided to order a
zero calorie strawberry and lime margarita… YUMMY!
and Neal decided to order some queso as an appetizer. To Neal, this was somewhat of a last meal for him. He’s been waiting for this day for many reasons, but also to start working on his fitness goals. Neal has had to spend most of his free time working on his writing, so now that he has more time on his hands he’s looking to get into better shape. I’m really excited for him and am really looking forward to being able to do more workouts together. Having a fitness partner means the world to me.
For dinner, Neal ordered the chili rellenos
and I ordered the steak tacos, with corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas (saves you 204 calories)
After dinner, Neal and I headed back to him place to relax and catch up on
our his DVR. Next thing I knew it was 1:30AM and Neal and I are both knocked out in our chairs. We totally fell asleep while watching TV, probably around 9PM. We must have been exhausted!
Although this week has been insanely busy for me, I’m really pound of myself for getting up each morning to work out.
- Monday- 60 minute cycle abs class @ Cycle Studio 5:45AM
- Tuesday- 20 minutes on elliptical and weight lifting (box squats, kettlebells, triceps, ab work) 7:00AM
- Wednesday- 60 minute cycle bootcamp @ Cycle Studio 5:45AM
- Thursday- 20 minutes on elliptical and weight lifting (kettlebells, lunges, triceps, ab work) 7:00AM
Starting out my day in the gym or at Cycle Studio has made a world of difference in my week. It doesn’t change the amount of work on my plate, but it puts me in a place where I can work efficiently and know that I’ve started the day off my taking care of my body.
Tonight Neal and I are finishing up our Save the Dates and then I’m having out with one of my dear friends from college, Danielle!
Happy Friday everyone! Any fun plans this coming weekend?
