After finishing a ton of graduate work today, I decided it was time to play with markers, puff paint, and glitter.
My life is really busy right now, but organizing things and seeing the big picture always helps me to refocus.
With a little over 5 months until my wedding, I thought a 6 month poster board was the way to go!
It’s great being able to see what I have to look forward to, the trips planned, the wedding activities coming up, and the deadlines approaching.
I messed up on June, so I’m going to have to finish that month another day.
It’s crazy to see that my capstone is due in 6 weeks and that in 3 months I’ll graduate from Kansas State.
I’m really looking forward to the first week of July though… 4th of July, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner and Nationals baseball game, and my wedding day! Having this poster board on my wall at home is going to help me to stay focused, to remember my goals, and to remain excited about what’s to come!
For dinner tonight, Neal and I made a veggie pizza!!
Aren’t these peppers and onions just beautiful?
After cooking them down with a little olive oil and fresh basil, I deglazed the pan with a little of 2 buck chuck’s cousin Vola
With the veggies done, I rolled out the fresh dough (from Trader Joe’s), topped with sauce, layered with the veggies ,and then sprinkled with Italian seasoning.
Quattro formaggi and low fat mozzarella were the final toppings for this beauty!
After 25 minutes at 425 degrees, the pizza was perfect and ready to be eaten!
Tonight’s movie… Boondock Saints (Neal’s never seen it).
For dessert, Neal and I both had a square of Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate with Cookie Spread filling. AMAZING!
Today was a great day and I hope tomorrow is the same. Lots of work to get done but I’m excited to spend more time with Neal and to watch the Super Bowl.
