So far this year, I feel like I’ve spent more time with my school books than with Neal, my friends, and my family.  Grad school and work projects have taken over my life. Oh, and a little thing called wedding planning.

As I have to work late today, Neal asked me on a Valentine’s Day date for last night.  It was a total surprise, which I love, and I had no idea all that was up his sleeve.  When we pulled up to my nail salon, I was like “uhhh, what are we doing here?”.  Stop 1, Neal got me a manicure and a pedicure.

I was shocked and it was so sweet of him to sit there with me.  I honestly had a hard time letting him give of his evening this way.  It was so loving of him!

After the nail salon, Neal wanted to take me to Panera and to see The Vow which was SO incredibly sweet but as life is a tad hectic, we decided to go to dinner at Pizza Paradiso, that way I could work on a presentation before going to bed.

Neal and I love this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone.  Neal was über excited to be going there for dinner.

I ordered an ice cold brown ale (my current favorite type of beer thanks to leffe).

Neal and I split a salad to start and then the quatro formaggio pizza… To die for!

It’s so much fun being able to spend Valentine’s Day with Neal and I am so grateful for his love!

Once home, I got into my PJ’s, turned on The Bachelor, and snuggled up to Neal and my work presentation.  Let me just say, Neal is not a big fan of The Bachelor, not one bit actually, but I think he enjoys making fun of the people on the show.

Check out my nails!  I lovvvve this color, appropriately called Dutch Tulips.

Do you have any Valentine’s Day plans?  Do you have any memories from the past years that you’d like to share?

When I was little, I use to lovvvve giving cards to my classmates.  I would spend time picking out just the right card for  my classmates, especially for my crushes.  I’ll never forget though in the 4th grade when I checked my “valentines day mailbox”  and I only had 4 cards, despite the requirement to give everyone in the class a card.  I was crushed. Brewing the fat kid in class was no fun.

Sorry, that wasn’t a fun story… My fondest Valentine’s Day memories are from evenings with my girl friends and of course the past 3 years with Neal!

 Happy Valentine’s Day Y’all!!
