Weekly Plan: 8 More Weeks
My first wedding dress fitting is in 8 weeks! The good thing is, my dress fits perfectly as of today, so any weight I lose or any toning made to my body will only make me feel better in my dress. Sidenote: my hair is getting longer!! Yay for wedding day hair.
I’ve been thinking a lot since I blogged last week about “evenings sabotaging our diets” and have decided that I need to make some changes to my routine and diet. So here’s what I’m doing…
- Continue tracking my calories with My Fitness Pal every day
- Eat a snack before heading home each day (between 3 and 5PM)
- Have dinner when I get home (6PM-7PM)
- Measure out all food, track calories, and then eat dinner
- Close the kitchen after dinner. No eating after 8PM
Am I being strict? Yes, but I want to take control of my evenings again. It’s hard when you track your calories all day and get a great workout in, only to overeat or eat for no reason when you get home. I’m grateful to have stayed the same weight this past week, but I know I can and should be losing weight.

| Thursday | Cardio and Weight Lifting @ Gym | Traveling to San Antonio |
I am traveling to San Antonio this Thursday for Stephanie’s birthday, the Cystic Fibrosis Tower Climb, and to get some wedding planning done. I am so excited to be with my dear friend and to help raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!
Since I’m only here for 4 days this week, I’m trying to use up my perishable items in my fridge. For breakfasts this week, I made a big old batch of banana steel cut oats. For lunch, I am going to use up my lettuce and fresh veggie patties. For dinner, I really have lots of options, so I’m just going to listen to my body and stay within my calorie count. My daily calorie goal is 1571 calories, not including calories burned during workouts.
I hope each of you have a wonderful week! Happy Presidents Day!

Nighttime is my downfall too! I eat a great breakfast and healthy lunch… a little sweet something in the afternoon. But after dinner, its super easy to eat chocolate, snacks etc that can basically wipe off the whole day of healthy eating/exercise. Sometime I want to work on!
I’m right there with you.
I’m new to your blog – but congratulations on your progress! Evenings are baaaad news bears for me too. I always want something sweet. I need to learn to close that kitchen down … and not reopen it!

I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now and man, can I totally relate with the evenings thing. I’m disgusted with myself that I can do so well during the day, work out and then ruin it all by eating dinner seconds and then snacking all through the night. I was almost thinking I need to work out at night instead. I wonder if getting out of the house and having the workout so fresh might help me. That is, if I can get out of the house after I come home from work.
You’re so pretty, Ashley!! xoxo
You and I have a lot of the same food issues, as I’ve said a million times before. I love having other people that GET IT.
Have you ever read This Is Why You’re Fat by Jackie Warner? I’m working on a whole post about it that I’ll put up tomorrow. I got it when it first came out and am kind of re-discovering it. It’s one of those books that really inspires you – the key is keeping that motivation (which I did not the first time I attempted her plan).

You’re too sweet! I’ll definitely have to look into her book and I can not wait to read your post tomorrow! It really is great being able to relate to others!

Evenings are also my worst time too for snacking! I think the evening goals you set for yourself are very reasonable! I try to take it one day at a time with my snacking am still looking for a “balance” with self control.
