Why hello there weekend! After a busy, busy week being able to spend these past three days at the Nationals Baseball Park has been such a treat. Neal and I went to Opening Day on Thursday and returned Friday night for game 2 against the Reds.

I had a big lunch on Friday but didn’t pass up on some fries from Box Frites, our favorite vendor at the ballpark, Friday night.

Box Frites has three different types of fries (regular, garlic parmesan, and sweet potato) and five different dipping sauces (buffalo blue cheese, bacon aioli, curry mayo, chipotle ketchup, and rosemary ranch), YUMMY!  Neal and I decided to order regular fries with a side of buffalo blue cheese sauce and bacon aioli.

Friday night’s game was a LONG one, but the Nationals won in 13 innings!

Today (Saturday) has been fantastic!  Although I would have LOVED to have slept in, going to Cycle Studio sounded like a better idea.  The 8AM class was fantastic.  I LOVE Jamie (the instructor) and how hard she pushes me.  I pushed myself really hard this morning, utilizing the tension knob on the bike more than usual.  When Jamie said to take it to a level 5, I took it up to a level 6 instead.  At the beginning of the class Jamie talked about the correlation between tension on the bike and calories burned… that sold me!  I’d much rather bust my butt for 45 minutes and burn an extra 300 calories than to take it easier during class.  Leave it on the bike!

After spin I ran over to Trader Joe’s to picked up a few goodies (brown rice sushi, frozen veggies, hummus, etc.) and then headed home to do Body Revolution Workout 3.  Let me tell you, I AM SORE!  I feel strong though and know that these workouts are changing my body.  I can see my the tone in my arms and legs and hey, it has only been 3 weeks!

Before I knew it, it was time to head to game three against the Reds.  Thankfully this game ended in 9 innings and with another win!

The weather was just beautiful today and being at the ballpark was the best way to spend this Saturday afternoon/evening in DC.

Neal and I are now back home, catching up on our DVR and doing some honeymoon planning.  Tomorrow we’re hanging out with Lauren and Greg, which is UBER fantastic!  I hope y’all are having a wonderful weekend.  Make the most of your Sunday!
