Blogging Buddies, Frederick Style

What a fantastic weekend! If going to 3 baseball games wasn’t awesome enough, yesterday Neal and I headed up to Frederick, Maryland to hang out with Lauren and Greg for the afternoon.

On our way to Frederick Neal and I swung into Whole Foods to pick up a few goodies for our lunch with Lauren and Greg.

Lauren welcomed us with a plethora of healthy and yummy goodies!  Check out this awesome roasted cauliflower (seasoned with cinnamon, chili powder, and sea salt), jicama, and Greek yogurt dip (homemade) dish.

Lauren and Greg have the most beautiful house and I loved being able to hang out with them!

Neal and Greg talked sports while Lauren and I talked blogging… it was perfect!

A few beers later, it was lunch time!

Lauren and Greg cooked up an amazing lunch, including this awesome salad topped with roasted sweet potato, goat cheese, apples, walnuts, and a homemade dressing.

Burgers rounded out the meal, making it the PERFECT pre-summer meal.  Lauren and I had her “Bulked-Up Burgers” and the guys had regular beef burgers.

Lunch was so good!

After lunch we talked wedding and listened to stories about Lauren and Greg’s wedding (just last July).   I love being able to get tips and advice from married women and to hear the guy’s perspective on their wedding day.  I loved hearing how much fun Lauren and Greg had at their wedding last year, which again made me excited about our own wedding.

For dessert we had fresh berries and these awesome Yasso frozen greek yogurts.  The frozen yogurt was very tasty and well worth the 70 calories!

I can not thank Lauren enough for her friendship.  I love that our blogs connected us and I can’t wait to live closer!  Lunch was awesome and I can’t wait to see y’all again!

The week ahead is jam packed but I know it’s going to be a lot of fun!

This morning I’m going to spin and then I’m off to my first wedding dress fitting… AHHHHH!  If I’m being totally honest, I’m nervous!  I know my dress fits but I’m having the “oh I wish I had lost more weight before today” thoughts.  I’m also uber bloated from the steroids I was put on last week when I was sick, so I’m just nervous about how my dress is going to feel.  My biggest fear is that the seamstress says, “oh we need to take the dress out a bit”.  Either way, today is the big day!

The rest of the week is filled with Body Revolution workouts, graduate work, dinner dates, and some wedding planning.  On Friday Neal and I are driving up to Cleveland to spend the weekend with his parents and sister, brother-in-law, and niece.

Here we go!  I hope y’all have a wonderful Monday.  Dress fitting update and Body Revolution Week 3 results tomorrow!

    It’s always SO wonderful to hang out with you!!! Thanks for driving ALL the way up to Frederick! I can’t wait for you guys to come up again (and we’ll break out the Baggo next time)! And- we need to take you out to one of the fabulous restaurants downtown. :)

    Can’t wait to hear how your first fitting goes! I had the same thoughts of wishing I had lost more weight before the fittings started, but honestly, when you have a chance to reunite with your perfect dress it doesn’t even matter…the seamstress will make you look beautiful no matter what! Good luck!

    Don’t worry about how your fitting goes because you will without a doubt look awesome- it’s your WEDDING DRESS how could you not!?

    I like how you have your workout and activities planned out. I do this with my food but not my exercise, does it help keep your stress level down during the week?

      It honestly does! I’ve learned to schedule my workouts in first and then to create other plans. It helps. I need to do a better job of planning my meals though.
