Now That’s a Saturday!

Today has been go, go, go but boy does it feel good to get a lot accomplished. Today started out with an 8AM spin class with Jamie at Cycle Studio. Jamie was loving cranking the resistance knob to 90% today but I left the class feeling great! An iced coffee from Buzz Bakery was the perfect post workout treat!

After grabbing my iced coffee I headed over to Trader Joe’s to pick up a few things.

I left with some beautiful flowers, lots of veggies, whole wheat pizza dough, oatmeal, turkey corn dogs, and a few other goodies.

With my groceries in tow I headed back home… my messy, messy home.

WOWZERS… clearly putting away laundry has not been my top priority this week.  I consider myself a pretty clean and organized person but when I’m busy, I tend to create nice and neat piles.  Well a week later, this is what my bedroom (and other parts of my house) look like.

After a good hour of cleaning, my apartment was back in order.  Kitchen cleaned, living room organized, and bedroom tidied.

Next thing on the docket, Body Revolution workout 6!  I really, really like this workout.  It leaves me wanting more while at the same time exhausting me.  Still, it felt great to get my second workout of the day in and to be one day closer to finishing week 5!

Hard to believe that everything I did up unto this point was done before noon!  Around 11:30AM, Neal and I met up and headed out to run some errands.  We stopped by Target, ran into Michaels, and checked out a few things at Bed, Bath and Beyond.  Although it was a tad chilly today, we headed over to Huntley Meadows Park before heading home for the day.

Huntley Meadows Park is just down the street from us in Alexandria, VA and in my opinion is a hidden treasure!

The park has a large wetlands area which is occupied my hundreds of animals.  The trail takes you through woods and then into the wetlands.

The park brought out Neal’s adventurous side, which I adore!

We saw a beaver and lots of birds, including baby geese.  They were ADORABLE!

It was great getting some fresh air and enjoying a park in the middle of a busy city.

Once home Neal and I made a homemade pizza with Trader Joe’s whole wheat dough, mushrooms, onions, and mozzarella cheese.  It was the perfect fuel for our afternoon wedding planning projects.  On the docket for today, stuffing wedding invitations and honeymoon planning.

I love, love, love our invites and am incredibly excited to get them sent out.  Neal is also happy to never have to lick a wedding envelop ever again, but I greatly appreciated his help today.

This evening Neal and I are planning to relax, watch some baseball, and continue our honeymoon planning.  I hope y’all are having a wonderful weekend!

I loved this post, too. You look so good in your photos! I also admire that you are going to school AND working AND keeping a blog. Amazing. Cheers from Vancouver,
