Surprise!!! Hello from Salzburg, Austria! I hope you’re enjoying all of the guest posts while I’m away on my honeymoon. I promise to tell y’all all about the wedding and honeymoon when I return this week!
As a teaser, I thought I’d share with y’all one of my favorite parts, buying the wedding party gifts. Like many brides these days, I took to Pinterest and Etsy for many gift ideas. I knew I wanted something unique for each person and something they’d use/treasure.
For all of the guests staying at the hotel, Alison and I put together these welcome packets. We just picked up brochures from around DC (FREE) and tied them together with twine.
For the moms, I put together a welcome bag for them filled with body wash, purfume, and a bottle of wine.
The bags were from Gooseberry Designs and gave a little piece of DC to our moms.
On the morning of the wedding, I also gave my mom and Neal’s mom a handkerchief from Inspired Stitches with a specialize note to each of them.
For my junior bridesmaids, flower girl, and ring bearer, I got them each a gift that was unique to their personality and interests. A Vera Bradly Backpack for Reagan, LAX gear for Josephine, and a t-shirt for Scarlett and Callaghan. The t-shirts aren’t pictured but I ordered them from Oh Sew Cute Too, both the flower girl shirt and the ring bearer shirt.
For the Groomsmen, Neal ordered the guys their wedding day ties and a Nationals T-shirt to wear to the rehearsal dinner and baseball game.
Lastly for the bridesmaids, I put together a big bag of goodies. I started out with bags from Pamela Fugate Designs.
I filled the bags with earrings from Laalee (who I LOVE), mugs from Stick It To Me Designs, body stuff from Williams-Sonoma, and gift cards to Starbucks.
I had so much fun shopping for gifts and am very grateful for all of my sister’s help in wrapping them and putting them together.
Well there’s a little wedding recap tease for you all. I hope y’all are doing fabulous and I can’t wait to be back this week (though we are having an absolutely amazing time here in Europe). Have a wonderful weekend!! — Ashley
