It’s hard to believe that there are just 8 weeks left of my Scaleless Summer.  With this being my first full week post-wedding and honeymoon, I was excited and thrilled to create my weekly plan.  Last week went extremely well Wednesday-Friday, but this past weekend was tough.  My eats were actually pretty good this weekend, but I ate WAY more carbs than I had been eating on the week days.  It was hard to pass up frozen yogurt and Italian bread on Sunday.

Eating Out

You see, while I was in Europe I started thinking about when I feel my best and when I’ve been the most successful with my weight loss… well, it’s when I limit my simple carb intake (bread, pasta, processed foods, etc.).  Last week I stuck to lean meats, fruits, veggies, and some dairy.

Salad

As I meal planned for the week ahead, I had to keep in mind what makes me feel great (not just satisfied) and go from there.

Breakfasts

Eggs, Ezekiel bread, fruit or veggies, and coffee

Lunches

A large salad topped with veggies (bell peppers and cherry tomatoes), protein (steak or tuna), and a healthy fat (avocado).

Dinners

Monday Loaded healthy baked potatoes with grilled chicken
Tuesday Taco salads (by Chef Neal)
Wednesday Leftovers
Thursday Teriyaki pork tenderloin, vegetable stir-fry, and brown rice
Friday Leftovers
Saturday Homemade lasagna
Sunday Leftovers

I also have some AWESOME workouts planned, which I’ll share on Fitness Friday!  Aside from my workouts, I’m absolutely thrilled to start tap dance lessons on Wednesday!! I’ve been wanting to take tap for as long as I can remember and am excited to knock it off my 28 by 28 list! I mean come on, how cute are my tap shoes???

Loving your workouts is key to losing weight, so I am thrilled to return to spinning this week and to start tap dancing.  Hopefully those pounds will just tap their way off my body!

On the home front, I am officially Mrs. Neal Rozendaal!  Pretty sweet!

Our home is coming together slowly but surly, but my goal for this week is to gather all that needs to be taken to storage next weekend (holiday stuff, boxes, books, etc.).  I think a Goodwill run will be in store as well.

We are also starting our search for some furniture, which has been fun, so we’ll see if we find anything we like this week.

All in all it has been a good transition back to the States and into married life.  It’ll all come together… just have to be patient… oh and work your tail off!
