The morning of my wedding was so incredibly special! Having lost my Grandfather the week before, I was still filled with a lot of emotions. Waking up to this beautiful sunrise gave me incredible peace.
It was an early morning for me, my bridesmaids, and the moms. We arrived at Giselle’s at 7:30AM and jumped right into getting our hair done.
Melissa and Becky were dolls and brought us a plethora of goodies including bagels from Panera, champagne, orange juice, coffee, and strawberries. It was the perfect wedding day breakfast!
Around 8AM, my wonderful makeup artist Megan arrived and jumped right into the cycle. Megan and I met at George Mason University, so it was incredibly special to have her there on my wedding day.
We had an absolutely wonderful time getting our hair and makeup done and building up our excitement for the day ahead.
And then it was my turn, YAY!
When searching for wedding hairstyles I looked through tons of magazines and also created a wedding hair board on Pinterest. I decided that I wanted an up-do with semi-loose curls and a semi-high bump (I’m a Texas girl y’all)!
I absolutely LOVED my hair. Hair by Giselle was amazing and I just loved working with her! I was also thrilled for Princess Street Beauty to do my makeup. If y’all haven’t noticed, I don’t really wear makeup so I didn’t want my wedding day makeup to be over the top. I sent Megan my wedding day makeup board and let her go from there.
The fake eyelashes were my favorite and definitely made my eyes pop!
After a long morning getting our hair and makeup done, we all headed over to the church to get dressed.
It was such a special time for me, being able to be with my Mom and sister and to have them help me get dressed. I couldn’t have gotten to this point without them. Having Melissa and Becky there too brought about lots of laughs and love! I adore them.

I love love love your hair. And AMEN to Texas girl hair. I’m don’t consider myself a Texas girl but whenever I watch Miss America or something I LOVE LOVE the big hair. It’s awesome

Ashley, I’m sorry for the loss of your grandfather. I don’t know how I missed that. My grandmother passed away on July 4th. Lots of HUGS to you!!! You were a LOVEY/BEAUTIFUL bride. Congratulations again!
