First off, I have to thank all of those who commented on this weekend’s post. I can not thank each of you enough for your encouragement and for sharing your own stories! It means the world to me and I am very grateful for all you’ve said.
So call me OCD, but I just don’t feel settled after moving until all the rooms are organized, put together, and decorated. Take my kitchen for example.
Well this weekend, Neal and I decided it was time to get our master bedroom in order. First stop… IKEA.
We went in with a few ideas, aka we wanted a dresser and 2 nightstands. Aside for that, we just looked around hoping something would knock us off our feet. In the end, we left IKEA with the Hemmes 8 drawer dresser in Blue and 2 of the Hemmes night stands in blue.
God bless Neal, as he tackled moving all of the boxes from Ikea to the car and then the car to the apartment. Neal also put together all of the furniture since I am injured.
While Neal worked on the furniture I cleaned up around the house, organizing paperwork and throwing out things we didn’t need.
Check out the guest closet (also known as our storage closet) before….
It felt so good to clean out the closet and to move some of Neal’s stuff from our bedroom closet into this one. Now I feel like our master closet is actually for Neal and I and not for storage.
With the bedroom cleaned out and the furniture assembled it was finally time to set up our new bedroom room… and voila!
Neal and I are thrilled with how our master bedroom turned out and we just love our new furniture! Neal worked so hard on the furniture this weekend and I can not thank him enough for his hard work since I was our of commission! Now that our home is put together, we can relax, enjoy, and get ready for our favorite time of year… fall/football season!
