Last weekend I got together with my dear friend Becky to make a few Sweet’N Low cocktails! As part of the Foodbuzz Tastemakers Program, Becky and I created 3 different Sweet’N Low using simple ingredients, keeping the calories low and the drinks refreshing. Just what you need on a summer’s day.
The first drink we tried was actually from the Sweet’N Low kitchen!
Sweet’N Low Strawberry Lemonade
- 1 cup frozen strawberries, defrosted
- 2 packets Sweet’N Low
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 mint sprig, optional, for garnish
First, combine 1/2 cup of iced cold water and 1/2 cup lemon juice in a glass.
Next, mull together 1 cup of strawberries with 2 packets of Sweet’N Low.
Lastly, combine lemon water with strawberries and serve. Neal love, love, loved this drink and has asked for me to make it again!
Next up, a Tequila Sunrise Sweet’N Low cocktail.
Sweet’N Low Tequila Sunrise
- 1 shot of tequila
- 1/2 shot triple sec
- 1 packet Sweet’N Low
- 3 chopped strawberries
- 1/2 cup of pineapple juice
- Seltzer water
This drink couldn’t be simpler! To a glass add tequila, triple sec, pineapple juice, strawberries, and Sweet’N Low. Mix well and top with seltzer water. This was my favorite of the three drinks. It was so refreshing!
Lastly, we made a Sweet’N Low Grapefruit Refresher.
Sweet’N Low Grapefruit Refresher
- 1 shot of vodka
- 2 packets of Sweet’N Low
- 1/2 grapefruit, segmented and chopped
- 1 cup of lemon and lime seltzer
To create the drink, mull together vodka, Sweet’N Low, and Grapefruit. Add seltzer water and enjoy!
Another amazing drink and possibly Becky’s favorite!
We had such a blast creating these Sweet’N Low cocktails and can not wait to do it again (maybe during our next girls weekend). Thank you Becky for all of your help and for loving Sweet’N Low so much!!
