Sorry I’ve been gone these past few days y’all.
Friday morning I took Neal to the airport at 3:45AM and have been non stop ever since. Life has been pretty crazy these days.
After work Friday I ran to Trader Joe’s to pick up a few staples and then rushed home and took care of Theodore, who has been having tummy trouble these past few days. Thankfully he’s doing much better, so hopefully we can get potty training back on track.
After lots of puppy play time this morning, I headed over to Kindle & Boom for a hair appointment.
Now as y’all know, I dyed my roots last weekend and was pretty pleased with the outcome but in all reality, I just can’t keep paying to be blonde. I loved being blonde and may go back some day, but I knew that it was time to return to natural.
Kindle & Boom was a lovely salon and although I was really nervous about the transition from blonde to brunette my hair stylist did a great job of explaining what she was doing.
First step was to put a filler on my hair. As my hair was pretty much platinum blonde, the stylist needed to put a base color on before putting the final color on. Essentially the brown needed something to hold onto.
Next step, my final color! This stayed on my head for about 45 minutes.
After my color I got a simple trim. Although I had planned on going short, I felt one big change was enough for today.
I love, love, loved the end result. It feels good to be back to natural color or pretty close to it.
For dinner, my new hair and I headed over to Sweetgreen. A perfect cap to the day.
I created my own salad, combining romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, sweet potatoes, 1 egg, blue cheese, and balsamic vinegar. It. Was. Awesome!
The rest of my evening was spent taking my puppy out about 6 times, watching Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and prepping my “Sensible September Slim-down” post. Stay tuned!

The natural color looks good on you! I loved the platinum a lot, but natural just looks really good on you. I think that the beginning of fall is a great time to go darker, so good choice!
