Yesterday was the perfect way to close out our vacation here in San Antonio, Texas! My mom, sister, and I started the day off with a sushi lunch at Osaka.
I ordered a California roll and the Magic Mountain roll for lunch but was only able to finish about half of it. It was some tasty and oh so filling sushi.
After sushi we headed to a nail salon for pedicures.
It wasn’t the best pedicure I’ve ever gotten, but I loved this mint mud mask they used midway. Much better than the salt scrub.
I do love the color I picked though. It looks like Dorothy’s Ruby Red Slippers.
After dinner with my family, aka diving into a serving of my Mom’s famous lasagna, Neal and I headed down to the San Antonio Riverwalk with Stephanie and Sebastian.
The Riverwalk is amazing any time of year, but it’s magical during the holidays.
The trees lining the Riverwalk are filled with colorful lights which reflect on the river. It’s just beautiful.
Neal has been here a few times, but neither of us can get enough of it, it’s just a great place to be. Next time we visit San Antonio I think we need to get a hotel room on the river for at least a night.
We ended the night with skinny vanilla steamers at Starbucks with friends. It was truly the best way to close out our vacation.
Now I am beyond thankful for the chance to see my family over the past week and a half but I am pretty excited to get home.
I am ready to go grocery shopping, to eat my weight in fresh produce, to workout at the gym, to sleep in my bed, and to get back into a routine. I need routine.
Neal and I are so ready to get back to eating healthy and to kick off 2013 in DC.
