I thought it’d be fun to start a series called Day in the Life, where I randomly share a day with y’all. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I did this once back in September but would like to do it more regularly as a way to show you how my days go. It will not be on a set day, as I want to show you different days and how I have to adjust things based on whether I’m at work, playing sports, hanging out with friends, or relaxing at home on the weekend.

5:45AM – Alarm goes off
6:00AM – Started the day with a glass of lemon water. Yesterday morning I woke up feeling extremely bloated. I ate very healthy this past weekend, but I still have my holiday eats hanging over my head and on my hips.
6:15AM – 45 minute weight lifting session at the gym with Neal. I stuck to the machines, going around the room doing 3 sets of 8 on each machine.
7:00AM – I made myself a cup of coffee with creamer (3PP) and got ready for the work day.
8:20AM – I hoped on the metro train and read one of my new favorite magazines, Everyday with Rachael Ray.
9:00AM – Arrived at work and enjoyed my breakfast at 9:15AM. For breakfast I had a Weight Control packet of oatmeal (4PP), a jar of green juice (2PP), and water.
11:50AM – I enjoyed my lunch at my desk while working on e-mails. For lunch I had 2 cups of lettuce (0PP), ground turkey seasoned with taco seasoning (4PP), and salsa (0PP).
1:00PM – I walked 1 mile down to Bank of America, grabbed a grande skinny vanilla latte (only drank 1/2 of it – 2PP), and walked the mile back to work.
2:30PM – I started feeling really nauseous, hence only having half of my coffee. I headed down to the store to grab some pretzels and a sprite zero to calm my tummy. It did the job! (5PP)
5:00PM – The work day ended and I headed straight to the metro.
5:45PM – I arrived home and was greeted by this adorable boy!! I took Theodore outside and played with him for a while before getting ready for football.
6:25PM – I got ready for football practice and put on my favorite Sweaty Bands headband.
6:30PM – I made a pre-football dinner with P28, 2 tbsp peanut butter, and 1 banana (12PP).
7:30PM – Arrive at IMP Fitness in Chantilly and tackled my first workout with my team.
There were 5 stations set up, with 3 exercises at each station. We had to do each exercise a certain number of times before doing the next exercise. At each station we did as many rounds of the exercises as we could for 4 minutes total.
Station 1
- Hang cleans
- Lunges
- Mountain climbers
Station 2
- Push pulls
- Step ups
- Kettle Belle Swings
Station 3
- Jump rope
- Squats
Station 4
- Toe ups
- Pushups
- Supermans
Station 5
- Push press
- Jumping jacks
- Push-up chest taps
8:55PM – Left practice and headed home. Arriving at 9:29PM.
9:35PM – I was greeted with flowers and an adorable card from my husband. Yesterday was our 6 month anniversary and I truly appreciated the flowers and the card!
11:00PM – Headed to bed. Not as early as I had hoped, but it is what it is.
All in all is was a good day. I woke up this morning feeling really emotional about my weight loss (more on that later this week) so I’m hoping this will turn around today.

Loved seeing your day! I can’t believe you’re a part of a football team! Too cool. Not to be nosy, just making a recommendation. I think it’ll help to build muscle and keep calories burning (and help you not feel nauseous) if you eat some protein within 1hr of waking up Or immediately after your morning workout. A hard boiled egg (if you plan on eating a regular breakfast later at work) or some Egg White Oats (I published a recipe lately – if you have time to eat breaky at home) will really help!
Love reading your journey and your positive attitude!!
