I like food. Actually, I love it.
Neal and I were talking the other day about how I need variety in my diet, while Neal on the other hand is fine having the same exact thing day in and day out. I find that when I get bored with what I’m eating I go on a quest to find something that’ll satisfy my cravings, and sometimes that doesn’t end well. Since I know I need variety, I try to keep my eyes peeled for new foods and beverages, as well as to try out new recipes when I can.
This month I’ve really been enjoying a variety of new foods and beverages. Here are some of my favorites for January 2013.
Sleepytime Vanilla and Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride Teas – These teas are perfect mid afternoon when I’m craving something sweet but don’t want to ruin my diet. They are soothing while being subtly sweet at the same time. I drink them plain, but I’m sure they’re great with a little sweetener (I’d use Truvia).

Coffee-Mate Vanilla Latte Creamer – I love creamer. It’s no secret. I’ve tried to drink plain black coffee and I just can’t (at least I haven’t enjoyed it as of yet). I don’t know what it is about this creamer, but it’s different than any other vanilla creamer I’ve used. The key to using this is measuring it out! Don’t just pour.
Crystal Light Liquid – I go through Crystal Light phases. Sometimes I love adding a little to my water and other times I just want plain water. These Liquid packets are great. They taste exactly the same but I don’t have loose powder sitting around my office.
Diet Mug Root Beer – I’m usually a Cherry Coke Zero hussy, but I’ve really enjoyed an iced cold root beer with dinner this month.
Adora Milk Chocolate – These vitamins are amazing! I’ve used the Dark Chocolate vitamins in the past but I’ve got to admit that I’m loving the milk chocolate.
Chobani Bite Coffee and Dark Chocolate – 1. It’s Greek Yogurt. 2. It is coffee flavored 3. It has dark chocolate in it. Does it get any better than that??
Ezekiel 4:9 Flax Bread – I really enjoy Ezekiel 4:9 bread but adding flax to the mix just takes it to a higher level. It’s a little nuttier but it’s even more filling. It’s hard to admit but this is quickly becoming my favorite Ezekiel bread.
Lightlife Backyard burger – These are fantastic veggie burgers. The black bean is by far my favorite, but when I’m craving a flame grilled “burger”, these are my go to. Neal loves them too, so that’s a major plus!
Popchips Sweet Potato – These chips are a-mazing!! They are the perfect mix of sweet and savory. I highly recommend these for sweet potato lovers.

Love the Adora calcium supplements! They taste just like candy – they’re smart to put a warning on there for people who might get carried away!

Ahh being a Canadian means very different food choices! Love tea though, and I will have to try the sweet potato chips! How’s your week going so far? Today was a very good Monday for me, no binging, one small sweet, on track for calories!
Oh man, I’ve been dying to try those Chobani Bites! Unfortunately I didn’t start seeing them in stores until I started eliminating dairy from my diet to lose weight. Guess I’ll add that to the list of things I’m going to indulge in the moment I get back from vacation next month.

Where do you get the Chobani Bites? I still haven’t seen it in my store. I was not impressed by the Sweet Potato PopChips. I guess I’m a Salt + Pepper girl!

The chocoloate calcium supplements and coffee Greek yogurt sound fantastic! I have to try those out!
I love creamer, too! I always measure mine out. Right now I’ve been using a cinnabon-flavored one and it’s soooo delicious.
