Some days I love playing football and other days, like yesterday, I just want to go home and relax after a long day of work.
I’ll be the first to admit that I was in quite the funk when I first arrived at practice yesterday but my amazing teammates quickly helped to boost my energy levels.
After a warmup circuit and our stretching routine we headed into the weight room for a few sets of single leg squats and an abs workout. My legs were TIRED!!
Next we did a circuit workout as a team, which inspired the workout I created for you all day!
Modified to exclude most exercises that involve equipment, this Ladder Cardio Workout will work out your entire body, will get your heart rate up, and will leave you feeling accomplished!
This workout was just what I needed after a long day at work and is one that I will repeat again at home!
This weekend we start wearing pads, AHHHHH! It’s exciting and scary all at the same time.
Overall, things are pretty stressful on my end these days. Working, blogging, playing football, and taking care of my loved ones are all things I love but when they are all intense I start to wear down.
At this point there isn’t a whole lot I can eliminate from my routine and schedule so I am just working to enjoy each day and to get good sleep. Sleep is usually the first thing I sacrifice and that helps no one.
What’s your tip for staying sane during a stressful time period?

I love the ladder workout! I think I might just do that this week sometime
3 times of that ladder would make me super tired. good work!

I love simple workouts like that. Sometimes it’s nice to not have to worry about equipment. It definitely sounds like you have quite the full plate right now with all of your commitments. However, I find that I’m the most productive and the happiest when I’m crazy busy!

It definitely does sound like you have your plate full! I’m the same way right now and am constantly asking myself, “How can I hit a good balance with all this?!” It’s tough! But honestly, I’ve done trial & error. I’ve learned what my limits are and I adapt. Right now, I’m working a full- and part-time jobs, I blog daily, I’m doing personal training, training for a 10k, keeping up a social life. I’m constantly on the go, but if it’s all important to you, at the end of the day, a little exhaustion is worth it
Good luck!! You can definitely do this
