How is it Thursday already?? Where has this week gone?
As I mentioned earlier this week, the month of February is looking to be a pretty crazy month for me. I’ve got a lot of my plate and a few of those things are stress inducing. Thankfully it’s a short month and I’m already over the hump for this week.
This week has gone very well, starting with a great day of eats and fitness on Monday.
Breakfast – 2 eggs, 2 egg whites, 2 slices of Canadian bacon, and 1/2 an avocado
Lunch – Butter lettuce, cucumber, shredded chicken, buffalo wing sauce, and Bolthouse Farms yogurt blue cheese dressing
Dinner – Trader Joe’s multigrain medley and turkey meatballs
Snacks – Almonds
Workout – 2 hours of football practice. Lots of conditioning and drills
Tuesday morning I woke up tired and a smidge overwhelmed. It wasn’t my finest day of eats (I celebrated International Nutella Day with some Nutella), but I ended the day with a great workout.
Breakfast – 1 egg, 1 egg white, 2 slices of Canadian bacon, and coffee
Lunch – Butter lettuce, cucumber, shredded chicken, buffalo wing sauce, and Bolthouse Farms yogurt blue cheese dressing
Dinner – Trader Joe’s curried chicken tenders and roasted asparagus
Snacks – almonds and Nutella
Workout – 45 minutes of heavy weight lifting
Wednesdays are my LONG days, getting up at 5:30AM to get into work early and getting back from football practice at 11PM. Yesterday’s eats were ok, but the calories burned at football practice made up for it!
Breakfast – 1 egg, 1 egg white, 2 slices of Canadian bacon, and coffee
Lunch – lettuce, balsamic vinaigrette, 1 small piece of lasagna, and 1/2 a cookie (work luncheon)
Dinner – lettuce, 2 small chicken breasts, and 1/2 cup of roasted sweet potato
Snack – Polar Orange Vanilla Seltzer, low fat vanilla bean ice cream and sprinkles
Workout – 1.5 hours of football practice. 30 minutes of condition and then 1 hour of football
I want to close out the week strong, focusing on eating lean and green and getting a good workout in both today and Friday. Two things I need to work out is getting more sleep and drinking more water.
When I’m busy and stressed these are two of my first things to go. I stay up late, writing or watching dvr with Neal, I tend not to get to bed until midnight. As for drinking water, I honestly forget. A whole afternoon will go by and I haven’t even had a chance to get a drink of water. Today and tomorrow I want to improve upon these two things! I’ll instagram photos (coffeecakeandcardio) of my water intake and the time I get into bed!
How’s your week going so far?

You’re rocking it, Ashley! Super inspiring! Is your schedule published for the Divas? I think Hubs and I would enjoy watching a game!

I really find your sense of balance incredible! It sounds like you’re totally killing it in the exercise department. It’s so cool that you found a sport that you love.

Right?! It was such a weird week! It went by so slow by at the same time SO fast. Love those seltzers to DEF.
Wow, up at 5:30 and home at 11? I could NEVER do that. Kudos to you! Though my days aren’t as long as yours, I can sympathize with the running around- with grad school, job hunting, internships and trying to get a workout in, it seems like it never ends! And I totally agree… can’t believe its Thursday already- I’m feeling a combination of EEK and thank goodness!

I need to drink more water too! I used to drink tons and since we got a new coffee maker at work, I keep drinking coffee instead. No bueno! Great eats! I need to start making salads for work!

Ashley try the ‘water your body’ app on your phone. It tracks your intake and sends reminders throughout the day, even the sound of running water if required to prompt you!
