I feel like people always say this, but how is it already the end of February? Time is flying! I’m honestly a little overjoyed that the month is almost over as this is a crazy month for me, but it also means that it’s almost spring, almost football season, and another month into 2013.
This month I feel like I’m just spinning through, but I’m on a good track and am making the most of such a busy time of year.

5:40AM – Alarm goes off and pop right out of bed in order to make my 6AM spin class.
6:45AM – After an awesome sweat session I head back to my apartment to get ready for work.
7:00AM – Breakfast time! I enjoyed 2 Weetabix biscuits and 1 cup of skim milk along with a cup of coffee.
7:40AM – I decided to wear long sleeves to work after realizing how gross my bruises are from football practice.
8:25AM – I find a seat on the metro train and pick up where I left off in Jillian Michael’s new book, Slim for Life.
11:00AM – Snack 1: Banana
12:40PM – I sat down at my desk and enjoyed lunch. On the menu, pita bread filled with lettuce, chicken, and Trader Joe’s cilantro dressing. On the side I enjoyed a Fage 2% plain Greek yogurt and 1/2 cup of blueberries.
1:20PM – Snack 2: 2 Trader Joe’s Rice Rolls
2:50PM – Snack 3: 2 hard boiled eggs
5:20PM – Drinks with friends. I opted for the 116 calorie Bud Light Lime.
7:05PM – I am greeted at home by Theodore! He was ready to play from the time I walked through the door. LOVE HIM!!
7:35PM – For dinner I made taco salads!! I first browned 1 pound of grown turkey in a non-stick pan. To the meat I added 1 jar of William Sonoma’s Fire Roasted Corn, Chili, and Onion Frittata Starter.
Now don’t let “Frittata Starter” scare you. You can use this stuff in SO many ways. I’ve added it to grains, rice, meat, stir fry, etc. It. Is. Awesome.
To a bowl of butter lettuce I added 1/2 cup of the meat mixture, 1 scoop of Greek yogurt, and 1/8 a cup of cheese. It was wonderful!
7:55PM – Neal and I settled in and started catching up on our DVR. First up, Biggest Loser!!
9:00PM – I joined the FitBlog chat on Twitter!! If you haven’t checked it out, every Tuesday night at 9PM FitBlog hosts a twitter chat that focuses on health and fitness related topics. Its a great way to connect with others and to talk about topics such as dieting, running, fitness, new workouts, and the like.
10:15PM – I wrapped up a little blogging and headed to bed. My goal was to get 8 hours of sleep last night.
It wasn’t all that exciting of a day but it was a good one! I was on target with my calorie goal, got in a great workout, and in the end burned more calories than I took in! Success!

I was just thinking the same thing earlier today…where has February gone? Heck, where has this year gone so far? It’s like as you get older, the days just go by quicker & quicker.

Ouchiessss to the bruise
Hope it goes away quickly. My bruises tend to stay on for so long, it’s annoying. Once I had a bruise that stayed for a full year. Yeah, I know. It was really deep though.
