I am BEYOND excited about the snow storm, Saturn Snowquester, scheduled to hit the DC area tonight! DC gets a good storm here and there, but we haven’t had a BIG storm is over 2 years. Although I was starting to get excited for the start of spring and the time changing, I’m pretty pumped for this storm.
In honor of the storm, here’s a little Snowquester workout to get you through the next 24 hours. This workout can be done at home, so don’t let the snow stop you! If you don’t have dumbbells you can use 2 canned goods for the bicep curls and push press.
Start with exercise 1 and do it for 20 seconds. Rest for 10 seconds and then repeat that same exercise 8 times before moving on to the next exercise. You’ll repeat this cycle through the 8 exercises for a 33 minute workout total! I used the Tabata Pro app to make the timing of it all easy.
There’s no guarantee that we’ll get some good snow tomorrow, but my fingers are crossed!
How do you react to a pending snow storm?

In Boston we just had a blizzard about a month ago that brought most of the state 30 inches, if I dont see snow until next winter…it will be too soon!
Wow that’s some snow! We are expected to get a snow/ ice storm tomorrow I’m just praying its not while I’m driving to work!

OMG love it – I was just pondering what workout I should do tomorrow since I’m HOPING I’ll be stuck at home!
Oh man, I am hoping and praying to the snow gods (does doing your tabata count as human sacrifice?) that I wake up to a landscape of white tomorrow.

We just had a huge dump of snow here. Flights were cancelled at the airport, roads were closed cause they were impassible, highways were closed and shelters set up for people who were stranded, the city police were telling people not to go out. I hope your winter weather isn’t as bad as ours was.
I am in Boston and we have got some good storms over the past month (luckily most on the weekend). One being a Blizzard-I am so over shoveling the steps and wearing snow gear! (although I would love a little bit of snow for snowshoeing!)
I dont mind the snow, its the driving in it that bothers me…everyone seems to forget how to drive once its starts raining/snowing around here, pathetic!
I hope you get the snow you want (and we dont get it, haa!)
Fingers are crossed for tomorrow!!!!!!
Love this workout! If I’m able to move tomorrow, still SO sore from Sunday, I’m doing this tabata!
I think it is funny that the East coast has to name all of its blizzards. We get them in MN every other week and just call it snow
We got about 10 inches last night so I am thankful that my yoga studio is only 3 blocks from my condo – I can still walk there in a ton of snow!

It’s March and snow in this are in March is NEVER good. I’m NOT happy…set my sights on spring when my tulips started poking their heads out of the ground. I am thankful that my children will be able to use their snowdisks and igloo building block set but really…it’s freakin March!!!!
I’m glad people who wanted snow are getting it but when you have to shovel this mess and face power outages it’s never fun. Sorry…still hoping for rain.
That’s so true. I know it can be really stressful. Hopefully this is the last bit of winter and then we can really enjoy the spring!

My reaction is pure excitement. I grew up in western Pennsylvania where snow storms were good and plenty every year. Here they are SUPER LAME (except those ones we had 2 years ago), as was the Snowquester!
