Well the awesome train kept on rolling yesterday!! Yesterday was a absolutely perfect day for me on the diet and exercise front!!! I drank 4 Nalgene water bottles (128 oz), ate 1,611 calories (under my 1800 calories goal), and enjoyed every second of the 45 minute spin class I took!
Here’s a break down of yesterday’s eats…
Breakfast – 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of mushrooms, and 1/2 cup of spinach (151 calories)
Lunch – Roasted potatoes and 1 baked chicken breast (320 calories)
Snacks – Good Belly drink, banana, carrots, 2 tbsp Trader Joe’s Spicy Guacamole, and a Think Thin bar (505 calories)
I actually hadn’t planned to have the Think Thin bar but I was pretty hungry late afternoon so I snagged one at Trader Joe’s before heading to spin.
Jen, Amanda, and I headed to Revolve for the 6:30PM class with Stephanie! Don’t let her fool you, Stephanie will make you SWEAT!! By the second song I was sweating profusely… It. Was. Awesome.
It was Jen and Amanda’s first time at Revolve and Amanda’s first spin class ever!! It was so fun to be a part of their first experiences. I don’t think there’s much better than working out with friends.
After class we headed down to Chop’t in Rosslyn (I know, second time going to Chop’t in 3 days).
This go around I created my own salad, starting with romaine and adding in steak, blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, red onions, chick peas, and cucumbers. The spa balsamic dressing pulled it all together. It was delicious, though I would have loved more blue cheese!
Yesterday was a really great day and I hope to repeat it today! I attribute it to planning out my meals, drinking a LOT of water, and working out with my friends!

I go to Chop’t ALL the time. At least three times a week. It’s a healthy and tasty addiction!

I love days like that. My Monday was a fabulous day- I ate well, worked out hard, and loved every minute of it. Now, if only I could bottle that feeling so I could remember it on the tougher days.

Great job, sounds like a great day. I too love working out with friends.
Unfortunately, I dont have many friends around who workout these days! It can be hard to get up and out when you dont have a friendly face waiting for you!
i was at chop’t in rosslyn yesterday! how funny. chop’t is the BEST and i am going back on friday. cannot get enough of the stuff. i absolutely love working out with friends and it looked like you had an amazing time. i’m trying to get back to revolve as soon as possible after the dc fit bloggers event!
Great job!!! That salad looks soooo yummy! Wish there was a place like that closer to me!
LOVE working out w/ friends too!!!

1600 is way too little for the amount of activity you do. 1800 is too. Eating too little is only harming yourself. Please, please, please, go to this link, enter your height/weight/age, and be honest about the hours of activity you do. That will give you your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and then you can eat at a 10% or 15% cut from that. If you use myfitnesspal, check out the ‘Eat More to Weigh Less’ group. Or check out http://www.em2wl.com. I cannot say enough how harmful it is to eat too little for your activity level. I love your blog, read your entries daily, but I cannot keep reading entries like this. You saw a nutritionist but still cut 300 cals from their recommendation. They wouldn’t have recommended you eat 2100 if they wanted you to eat 1800. Burning 3200 cals and only eating 1600 is a fast track to starvation mode. Please go to the links and look over the information. I’m not sure how long I can continue reading these entries if you continue on like this.
I’m sorry but you are still sending your body into starvation mode and not eating enough. I don’t know how you can call that a really good day. It’s no wonder you don’t lose weight – your body is trying to protect itself.
I need a workout buddy!

I always feel that I expend fewer calories exercising than many tables might suggest…take spinning — how much resistance you set is so relative, but makes a huge difference in calories. When I look around my spinning class there are people just dripping, literally, all over the floor. I never get close to that kind of sweat, but certainly feel like my heart rate is up and muscles fatigued…I don’t think my temperament would allow me to get to that level of what appears to be exhaustion.
I love the pb think thin bars!

Holy water!!! That’s very impressive! I read what the anonymous commenter said… do you feel fearful of getting to the 1800 cal target daily?
