This was one fun carb loading weekend!! Although I may be feeling slightly stuffed, I had a great time and enjoyed every moment.
It all started Friday night with a nice bowl of pasta! I browned 1 pound of extra lean ground beef and then added a jar of Classico Caramelized Onion and Roasted Garlic marinara sauce. 1/2 cup of sauce over a bed of whole wheat pasta was just what I needed before my first DC Divas scrimmage on Saturday.
Saturday morning, after drinking a big old cup of coffee and enjoying a homemade breakfast sandwich, Neal and I headed to the scrimmage.
I arrived at the field, cracked a few jokes with my team mates, and then headed into the locker room to get changed.
Before I knew it we were on the field, warming up, and getting ready to play in our first scrimmage.
I learned a lot on Saturday and really enjoyed playing with my team mates. I left with just a few bumps and bruises, but overall I felt really good at the end of the day.
My Sunday started off a lot like my Saturday, with a big old cup of coffee! After watching a few Food Network shows I headed to Old Navy to do a little pre-spring shopping!! Although it may be freezing outside (and snowing), I figured a few sun dresses wouldn’t hurt any body.
I love Old Navy, though some season it’s hit or miss. This spring is definitely a hit!!! I loved everything. The styles, the cuts, and the colors. It was all too cute!
It was so great seeing these girls and enjoying some awesome Mexican food!!
For dinner I had the Tacos Al Carbon but switched out flour tortillas for corn tortillas. The dinner was awesome and the perfect way to close out the weekend.
What was one highlight from your weekend? What was your favorite eat from this weekend?
