My Mom is probably one of the strongest people I know. Actually, she is the strongest person I know.
My Mom has always amazed me by how hard she works to achieve her goals and her dreams. In 1978, my Mom was accepted to the United States Air Force Academy, just two years after the first class of women were admitted. She was determined to attend the Academy and to be an officer in the United States Air Force.
Little did she know that 4 years later she’d be a graduate of the Academy, 1 year later she’d be marrying my Dad, and a year after that she’d be having me! At the age of 24 she was a newlywed, a new mom, and a Maintenance Officer in the Air Force.
My Mom is truly everything I want to be as a mom; kind, gentle, patient, loving, a homemaker, loving wife, and amazing cook. As I look at my life now, and who I want to be as a mom, I can’t help but look at the areas I need to grow in.
My Mom, as an Officer in the Air Force was so incredibly fit! She made her fitness and her health a priority, something I didn’t value until now. All of the men and women in the armed forces really define discipline for me, especially since both of my parents were in the Air Force when I was a child.
When I learned about the Solider of Steel™ Transformational Workout Plan, I couldn’t help but think about my parents, especially my Mom. The workout plan was created by Man of Steel™ trainer Mark Twight to push the cast of the new Super Man movie and soldiers with a unique workout plan to help them reach their goals and to transform them into their roles for the film.
Soldier of Steel™ provides you with a one-month training routine developed by Mark Twight, fitness training webisodes, and tutorials on 23 different exercises.
I love the Soldier of Steel™ program, not only because it embodies all of the strength and courage I see in my mom, but also because it gives people around the world the chance to go through the same workouts that prepared actors like Henry Cavill for his role in Man of Steel™.
This Thursday, Mark Twight will be answering questions about the program on twitter at 3PM EST. You can follow the conversation at #TwightTakover and through @NationalGuard.
