One of my goals for the month of June was to enjoy more smoothies. Smoothies are easy to make and if created thoughtfully can be low in calories but packed with nutrients. Although I love smoothies, the downside is that they aren’t very filling.
Earlier this month Designer Whey sent me their new Sustained Energy Premium Protein Powder with Soy and let me tell you, my struggles with not feeling full after a smoothie are gone! Each morning I’ve had a smoothie using this protein powder I’ve stayed full until lunch time.
With the chocolate flavor I’ve added it to a cup of almond milk, 1 frozen banana, and 2 TBSP of PB2.
My favorite of the two flavors is the vanilla because you can do so much with it. My favorite smoothie so far this month was my PB&J smoothie. To my blender bottle I added 1 cup of almond milk, 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 TBSP of homemade jam, and 2 TBSP of PB2. It was delicious!
