Whole Wheat Pasta with Chicken and Peppers

A quick and easy dinner can be incredibly healthy! Take simple ingredients, cook them to perfection, and season with herbs and spices! Have whole wheat pasta with chicken and peppers on your table in 15 minutes. Real food is really delicious!

Whole Wheat Pasta with Peppers and Onions

Ingredients (Serves 2)

-4oz dry whole wheat pasta (I use Delallo)
-1/2 Tbsp olive oil
-1/2 onion, chopped
-1 yellow bell pepper, seeded and chopped
-1 orange bell pepper, seeded and chopped
-8oz cooked chicken breast, diced
-1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
-Salt, pepper, and parsley to taste


1.  In a large pot of boiling water, cook your whole wheat pasta according to the package instructions.  Drain pasta after cooking and set to the side.

2.  While the pasta cooks, saute the onion and bell peppers in the olive oil, stirring occasionally.  Allow the vegetables to soften and cook through before adding the diced cooked chicken to the pan (about 10 minutes).

3.  Cook the vegetables and chicken for a few additional minutes and then season with Italian seasoning.

4.  Add the cooked pasta to the vegetables and then season with salt, pepper, and parsley to taste.  Enjoy!
